2.5 litre engine. The SE-5 4x4 is powered by an unusually smooth, 102-hp overhead cam engine. There’s no larger
four-cylinder power plant available in any pickup.
Optional Automatic Package. Includes new Mazda-designed 3-speed automatic transmission with lockup, reclining bucket seats, and center console. Bench seat and 5-speed overdrive are standard on SE-5, as is power steering.
Clearance Where It Counts. SE-5 4x4 gets you over the rough stuff with a running ground clearance of 10.5 inches - one of the highest in its class. Yet its low center of gravity ensures crisp, precise handling. Its off-road credentials also include a 38.3° angle of approach (A). Plus a 23.8° ramp angle (R) and 28.9° angle of departure (D) that even Toyota can’t beat.
Independent Front Suspension. Double wishbone design provides more travel than any Toyota 4x4. Enhances on- and off-road comfort and handling.
The SE-5 Plus 4x4. Both regular and Cab Plus SE-5 4x4 models come standard with chrome spoke wheels, raised white-letter radials, sport mirrors, sporty stripes and a rear step bumper. SE-5 Cab Plus is the lowest priced extended cab 4x4 in America with all its standard features. And its the only extended cab to seat two adults facing forward in its optional rear jump seats.
