The sides themselves are stamped from a single piece of steel, for better dimensional precision than those welded together from smaller pieces. The result is an exceptionally rigid and secure passenger cabin. You can feel the difference in its solid ride (a ride that’s quieter than the Mercedes C280 and smoother than the Lexus ES300) and the satisfying sound of the door closing (a door that rides on greaseless Teflon® hinges, no less). You can see it, as well. Because less body flex means the panels can be fitted more closely. So the seams between them are tighter than those on either the Mercedes C-Class or Lexus ES300.
Exceptional rigidity makes possible seams between body panels of a mere 3.6mm. That’s 20% tighter than the Mercedes C280.
And while BMW is famous for handling, the Millenia struts its stuff differently — without struts. Which can cause friction in the shocks, reducing the suppleness of the suspension. That’s why our patented 4-wheel multi-link suspension offers a blend of driving precision and comfort hard to achieve from previously existing systems.

Perhaps our most astonishing engineering feat was reserved for the Millenia S. Powered by our exclusive Miller-cycle engine. A high-output, V6 equipped with a unique Lysholm compressor, it is one of the most efficient methods known for converting gasoline into horsepower. A smooth 210 horsepower, to be exact. Or, put another way, up to 80% more than is possible from ordinary engines of equal size.
